I was chuckling and hoping I was meant to by the end of the story. I searched for the talent behind the podcast and discovered I am Dan Bain. No, you Dan Bain. I am just a fan of Dan Bain. I'm now playing your stories at high speed so I can enjoy them when I'm picking up dog do pulling weeds vacuuming or doing other boring things. Thanks a lot for messing up a good night's rest." Thanks for taking the time Lee to send in your feedback. I'm sure you're aware of the principle of negging when you say something that seems negative to someone because you like them. I'm pretty sure this is a classic case of that. So, you're welcome and if I have to apologize for being too entertaining. This evening sleepy time mumble Episode 16 This is the rain.

This, this is the rain. The rain comes from the sky The rain this may have water it's come out of the sea and the lakes. frozen glaciers that are no longer frozen the rain comes out of the pond and the sewers in the spill, Boston water that lies This is where the rain comes from. This is the rain. It comes from these places and evaporates travel the sky and sky gathers and condenses until the very weight of itself becomes too large until it's own personal mass becomes too heavy for it to bear and then the rain falls from the sky.

This is the rain the farmers pray for as they survey their drought stricken crops while their animals become skeletal. This is the rain they pray for the ground. This is the rain that a child who has not done their homework prays for when their homework was prepare for a cross country run. That's right 1200 meters, four laps of the school field, "please let it rain that I may not have to run for indeed I am not particularly fit and I have done no preparatory work in order to make it not so please let it rain" and they look to the clouds and they attempt to discern what the weather will be. The ancient way and the ancient way rubbing their broken bone is the pressure dropping. The modern times check the barometer. The pressure is dropping. I can feel it in my bones. Broken bones can tell the weather broken barometers cannot. watch the wind sometimes whipping will bring with it or re scudding the clowns. They will do for you. And once they get in there wind becomes critical. The sky will

this is the rain. This is the rain that makes flowers. trees grow. people grow. water levels grow. This is the rain that makes romances grow. When you're trapped in the rain down call with someone you've been having a demon piece chews on thing with in your hair slicks down against your skin and your T shirts becoming transparent and you hold each other You do not feel the cold blu ray for all you can feel is the heat you have for some The rain is best when it is outside and listen to it drumming on the road. The rain reminds you that you are dry that you're inside. Then you put some of us run in the rain. Some of us tear our clothes spin these symbols are splashing in puddles savings Gumball some of us buy in the puzzles and try to float trying to disprove plea make puddle Angel If these angels and puddles could fly to the sky, they'd fly up there too. They got too heavy with their feeling until the weight of their feelings caused them to burst and they burst into droplets of rain. so goes the cycle. From land to sea to school. from liquid to gas to the conviction curves currents cause cools to clouds and that causes condensation. When the water condenses, it gets too heavy. If you like islands he'll be like a secret. If you like something that's heavy. I don't want to lose some sometimes. But only sometimes. Mostly I'm only happy when it rains. Some people ask why does it always rain on me? I say why don't you travel to drought-stricken lands then. You're pretty selfish with your writing.

Some people like April showers personally I'm more fond of the reign of terror. If you don't count my multiple appearances at the airport I've been in Singapore two times. One to be a true 14 on a holiday with my family. I returned as a full grown man in order to perform at a festival. Both times I found the rain to be extraordinary. There's something very impressive about a downpour of rain that can hit so hard that it bounces back up. Is this ground level? Oh rebounding rain. And just as suddenly as it started to rain was when I was there as a boy. He got in the way of our shopping. When I was there's a man shows. We crouch and then over on a shop floor and all the nice he knows we're waiting to see if we pass sometimes it did in the air with Cuba the original sin of petrichor. Petrichor of course is the smell after rain. Often what it is is the fact that water vapor in air enhances your ability to smell you can just smell things data after it rains people say that the rain in Spain my but I've never been to Spain so I can confirm no deny that it seems on one plane what would cause that scientific way surely cities are giving out heat doesn't make do something I'm not sure I'm not a meteorologist that's the fancy name for someone who studies the weather. It has nothing to do with meteors that's an asteroidologist.

I'm trying to recall a romantic experience that I ever had in the sun and I can have the same he won. All of mine happen at night or in the rain. get cozy under an umbrella. dashing trying to get out in the rain. These are where I find moments of romance. Not in being hot and uncomfortable. And dehydrated. This is the rain. When I was a kid, sometimes when I was riding my bike home from school and it had just been raining. There would be trace marks of pollen scum at the ages of the puddle where I'm from summer has a high pollen count which wreaks havoc with my allergy. And when I was a kid riding my bike home from school I would see these yellow crease marks around the edges of the puddles without the understanding that what was happening was the rain was pulling power out of the atmosphere as it came down and gathering a donor ground I would see these trace marks and I thought it was so far and I thought it was acid rain. It was some acid rain. what it was was ignorance. Because this is the rain and the rain falls as we all must fall, a cycle interminable.

That was Episode 16 of Dan Bain sleep time mumbles This is the rain. Thanks for listening. I'll see you next time. Until then, goodnight. Sleep tight.
